I just received my motor back from Cyclex (great guys to deal with) managed to unload and install it in the frame with a friends help. But now my back is screwed and I will have to let it sit a few days so I can recover.
Motor is now a 915cc

I'm looking to do my rims the same style as yours, all blacked out. What finish did you use on the spokes? paint or powder?

I had the wheel sandblasted then used VHT roll bar paint in matte, same on the frame.

how durable have you found the paint to be? I'm about to do the same to mine and am a bit concerned over the durability vs powdercoat

Looking gewd. The trick with cradle frames is to lay the motor on its side and carefully lower the frame sideways over it. Much easier to handle the frame around the motor than the motor into the frame.

Yes we put the motor on it’s right side and the frame went on super easy, wrenched my back getting the pallet out of the pickup.

Just picked up the wheels from Cycle Gear and the VHT rollbar paint still looks great, the guy who mounted the tires thought they had been powder coated.

After sandblasting gave a thorough blasting with an air hose and put the VHT on direct. I did a small paint booth out of pvc and plastic with a cheap box fan in the wall. Used cheap furnace filters over fan and a few heat lamps. I put wire around the wheel where the rim strips go, which made it easy to roll the wheel between coats. I did have to fix a few areas that I had runs just waited about a week to cure then it was sandable and I resprayed the area. I found a thread that said put paint thinner on a cloth and when you could rub and area and no paint would come off on the cloth you can sand. Tried this on the inside of the rim.

Got it running in they frame yesterday, now just waiting on the 530 front and rear sprockets to arrive, then I ride....!
