How to mount dcc indexable?

I'm looking to purchase a set of the dcc fully indexable rear sets. I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to mount them? My thought on it and I don't know if it's possible I removed the passenger foot peg triangle mounts and was thinking I could cut them to be smaller and weld them back on in the position where I would want my feet to be, then if it's possible, bolt the dcc rear set through where the passenger foot pegs went. Is this possible? If not what's the best way to go about this?

Yes it is fine to mount them that way. Most people around here end up fabricating their own Rearset mounts and welding or bolting them to the frame. You will be fine.
