Hey all,

My names Jon, I'm 23 and live in the greater Tampa Bay area, and have been around the car scene for a bit, go to most of the SCCA races in the CFR. I've loved bikes a kid, rode bmx all my life, and now it's time to get back on two wheels. So I'll be doing a ton of lurking! :)

Three days ago I picked up this 79 cb650 to start my addiction ;D


day three, and I'm just waiting on parts.

well I think first is to get it running solid, and tune the carbs. I'm just waiting on a starter relay to get it started.
From there: clean up the wheels, frame, motor and wiring, just make it look sharp.Then loop the tail section, find/make? a nice seat, do any other small fab work needed, paint, bolt stuff on, ride!? lol

I'm not 100% sure on everything but I'm having fun already.
 
Nice project bike. I believe that's a Mac 4n1 header. That saves you $300 right there. I have an extra black muffler that fits that header if youre interested. If you don't plan on using that header, I'll buy it off you.

Here you go... The picture is crappy but the muffler is like new. It's just covered in dust from laying around the shop. I don't use mufflers on my bikes. I prefer loud and proud. You can have it. Just pay shipping. PM me your address if you want it.

Some stuff came in today to get the bike running. :)
I hope tomorrow It'll fire so I can start to tear down.
