hydraulic clutch?

Has anyone replaced the clutch cable with a hydraulic clutch on an xs400? I have found where plenty of people have done it to xs650's but not the 400. Please forgive me if this is a repost I could not find or if this is in the wrong place.

I would stick with the cable... a new one is like $18

You could find a good used ubiquitous master and a slave off "something" ... plus a hydraulic line and fittings to fab something up... but why> ?
