I broke down and spent some money...

This is the second build of this particular seat. The first iteration is around here somewhere, but this one is done properly. When I stalled on the rebuild about 5 years ago I was ready for padding and upholstery. The first version of the seat my bud Brandon (TwistedWheelz around here) and I cut the padding out of an old three-wheeler seat and stretched the vinyl all DIY. It actually looked alright, but I always wanted it a little different. So today I took the seat to a local auto and motorcycle upholstery shop.

While I am spending money I'm still a cheapskate at heart. So we settled on a marine grade black vinyl with some carbon fiber-esque texture. He had it laying around and I think it'll work nicely.

We discussed the shape I wanted, selected the padding and agreed on a price! I'm excited.
Here's a pic of the seat on the bike

And since Dolores looked naked I popped on my stock seat, which I have retained for carrying the missus occasionally.

I will post pics of the seat as soon as it is back in my hands. Let's hope it looks good.
