i left the remote in the kitchen

I hate that almost as much as when I get to to get a drink, go take a piss, come back and sit down and realize I still dont have a drink.

Nothing beats relaxing watching the tube and the phone rings, and its upstairs where the last person left it, because they were too fucking lazy to put it back in the cradle after the call. And oh by the way there's a phone upstairs as well, the last person just decided to make the call when they were downstairs and walk upstairs to sit and talk.... WTF >:(

People pushin' 60 have lots of gadgets that could be placed in museums, we also have lots of new toys that young pups drool to own too.... :P

Why did i even take it with me? Damit.
I always do that I have a 2y/o little girl just waiting for me to leave it while I go get something to drink so she can change the channel and play with it so I end up getting back to the couch and realize its on the counter.

Haha! I misplace EVERYTHING!! I even put things away so I won't loose 'em, and then can't remember where the "safe place" is. Brutal. :P

The older I get, the worse it gets!! :P

if you ever need a safe place for that little green triple i live in western md ;)

A few weeks ago i put my angle grinder down to get a beer from the fridge. After getting the beer i couldnt find my angle grinder. So i put my beer down to find it. About 10 minutes and an interuption later, i found it... then forgot where my beer was...

I misplace my beer from time to time, but I always have a hard time telling it apart from the couple dozen empties just sitting around.

And I spend more time looking for tools I just had in my hand, than I do anything else combined!

Yup, thats why it took me so long to find it. I cleaned them all up since then. Filled up a 35 gal drum. Wish i could cash glass in for deposit in this state.

I am SO glad I'm not the only one. All of the previous examples are great.

A somewhat recent one that will not be forgotten any time soon is when I was grinding/bobbing my rear fender. I had my safety glasses on and I took them off to do some detail stuff, clean some rough edges and mark my progress. After a short time, I needed to grind a bit more in a different spot so, I get all my tools lined up and ready and start looking for my glasses. On the bench, under the bench, around the bike, on the floor, shelving, hooks around the garage........

Fast forward about 10 minutes and now I'm swearing and totally ticked off. I can't find them anywhere!!!! >:(

My wife hears me cursing up a storm as I'm being pretty loud and ramming crap around by now and asks what my problem is. I tell her (pretty well yelling at her even though she has done nothing to deserve it). She gives me a what-are-you-talking-about look and calmly says "Seriously?? They're on your head."

I reach up, feel them there and yell "F#&%!!!"

Then calmly say "Thanks"

Hahahahha ;D

She just walked away shaking her head.

I wasted a crap load of time looking for those damn things...... I had to have a break I was so mad. LOL

For the record, we laughed about it later.

Ha I swear we all have ADHD on this site, I do all of this and more even when I try to keep shit placed in the right place. I think last night was the first night in months I was able to do a job without any of these things. I was able to change out all 4 tires on the X-Trail without loosing a tool or forgetting to set the pressure or anything. It was a weird feeling and I had to step back and double check because I didn't lose any nuts, tools, or anything. I didn't even have to swear and I was done with time to only consume 2 of the 3 beer set aside for the task! I am still worried a wheel will fall off because it was too easy.

Ha

True story.

My favorite is dropping a small wrench in my back pocket, you know the ones that will fit in your pocket sideways at the bottom. I finally just went and bought a bunch of each size. They all turn up when I do laundry.

I do the safety glasses bit on my head quite frequently at work. And justin, i envy that you have a 10mm wrench to lose! Ive got several of them and they are all missing, along with my 10mm deep and shallow sockets... im a trainwreck in the garage...

The tool you need is ALWAYS on the other side of the bike.
