Nice work Drew, looks like more fighter then cafe ;D

This thing is looking badass. I have to admit, I've always liked two-strokes...the way you've got to baby them for the first few minutes until they warm up, the smoke, the oil...the way they hit 6k and go zzzziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnggg!
Anyway, looking good, can't wait to see more - boingk

I do have a question, though.
In the pic above it looks like the brackets you have made for the rear shock might act like a fulcrum against the rear engine mount on the frame (the 2nd bolt in the pic). Have you braced this area of the frame at all? I'd be a little concerned this may bend / break over time.
Other than that, love your work![]()

I think I get what you mean. I don't believe there's much to worry about! It's pretty solid back there. If I was using a solid strut in place of the shock and spring, sure, but with the action of the shock and spring there's really not THAT much force on the frame or the bracket. We've done this before on other road race bikes and had no issues! I trust that trend will continue!;D You never really know until you try it though! ;D I'll keep you all in the loop!

Good luck buddy.
chrisf said:That--my friend--is impressive! I've built exhaust from scratch before and the spatial ability required to do a basic exhaust, much less chambers (and three!), is increadible.
So are you just making them out of mild steel? Did you ahve a sheetmetal guy roll the cones or did you do that yourself?
