Kill switch. Will this work?

Got this kill switch to use for racing. It didn't ever cross my mind it might not work. So will it? Or did I just waste 15 bucks?

We use $5 push switches at NAPA, wire it across the hot lead, stuff it uner the seat & push the button to shut her down
