Hello from New Zealand, My Names Paul, just wanted to introduce myself, I've been a member on this site for a while and mostly troll for information and inspiration, There's not really a cafe scene in New Zealnd but we do seem to have a ton of older british bikes and a big classic scene, lots of Nortons indians, Triumphs etc. I've always liked the look of cafe racers ever since I was a kid, I think it was all the "boys own annuals" that I read as a kids, Which were written in the 50's and 60's they had great illustrations of TT type racers with clubmans and pudding bowl helemets, I guess my mental image of a motorbike was ones from this era even though I grew up in the 70's.
New Zealand culture was much more British focussed when I was growing up all our old TV shows were from the U.K with a bit of American stuff thrown in. We still have the Queen on our money being pert of the commenwealth. I guess this explain the sizable amout of british bikes here. These brit bikes are expensive though and I'm no mechanic so I guess the Japanese route has been easier and cheaper, and at the end of the day it's all about the pleasure of riding and not getting to hung up on what brand you ride.
I have 2 bikes a GB500 which is a hoot, Light and flickable and great fun on twisty roads which we have loads of. The other is my CB70F1 that I've just been Caffing.
I'm pretty luck as we don't have snow in winter and i ride all year round also my daily ride to work is a twisty cosatal road around the harbour peninsula that I work on so just getting to work can be a real joy.

anyway here's a pic of my 2 bikes. Not the best photo sorry.

Nice bikes, welcome form another Commonwealth country with the Queen on our Money ;D Wish we had the no snowin common too :'( Still waiting for the riding season here, another 2-3 weeks minimum before all the ice is gone from the side streets and parking lots.

Thanks all I'll post some more pictures soon (I shoot film so things take a little longer) the one I posted was from a workmates camera. I'll add some before and after to the show n shine list.

Paul
