hey guys!

im currently starting to work on the single pod theme for my kawasaki z 400 twin 1979....it has the standard keihin carb.
so my question:

1.)where can i find out the dimensions of the existing standard jets in my carb?

2.)i read some articles on the single pod issue.ill go for some expensive to ensure the best air ventilation....is there a way to tell how much bigger the new main jets should be matching the single pods?which pods should i go for(KN´s?)

grettings from vienna! :)

There is a section on this page named "Carbs" about 3/4 of the way down. There will be a link to a PDF that lists out the stock jet sizes for the KZ400 carbs by year.

Lot of people try pods on the stock carbs. Some have got them dialed in well. You'd definitely be better off with K&N or Uni filters over Emgo or a no-name filter. Read through the Kawasaki Twins Owner Forum (the Armbell link that MadMatt1 posted) to see what others have done. You'll probably want to focus on the KZ400 Carbs section and Modifications section first and then spread out from there.
