late 60's cb450 parts

rudy

If it don't fit, you're not trying hard enough!
i'm gonna get my hands on a cb450, i think it's a late 60's model, don't know for sure. as it may have some problems with turning the crank, i'll likely be part it out for the most part. might keep the spoked drum brake wheels for the xs400 project if they'll fit. if anybody wants any parts, lemme know, otherwise they're going up on ebay. I'll have more details once i get the bike, as i looked at it in the dark and rain tonight.

Rudy, I'm looking for parts, ;D if the fuel/gas tank has chrome side panels then I'd be interested in the tank and side covers. Also the exhausts if there in good condition.

Thanks

Zonda, no dice. Tank is painted red. Exhaust isnt that great, at least the mufflers anyway. I'm picking it up in about an hour and I'll post some pictures up. A few parts may be sold already.

Well, picked her up today. And some pics as promised. If you'd like a closer up of anything, let me know.

Anyone, anyone? Beuller? Fry?

Took most of it apart tonight. I'm not gonna use the drum wheels for the 400 project, so they're up for sale. They'll need some work to get in great shape, but its a starting point. Handlebars, controls, footpegs, shocks, swingarm, guages (in real nice shape), coils & condenser, gererator, start relay, brake light, carbs & holders, airboxes, side covers, battery box, headpipes, any engine part (i'll even tear into it for you to get to the insides). You guys get first dibs before it all goes up on ebay. The seat pan is decent enough too (cover is ripped). Tank has no dents, but is a little on the rusty end of the spectrum. Might be good for a seat hump if you want, or a decent amount of kreeming.

how much for master cylinder and is it type with break light switch?

You could always change over to front drum ;), then the lever would work for you!

Hi Rudy, for my 1968 K1 I'm needing a good set of headpipes, especially a right- how are they? , need a good set of gauges, currently using a set from a 175 that are wonky, ("speed varies" ), and the head would be good for my other 68 project bike if the exahust camshaft is ok, not galled. I'm quite serious, please email me your tel number, I'm in Kingston and will of course pay shipping too if stuff is ok, let me know please by email or 613-531-7810. :)
if no one wants the tank i would take it for makng a hump too,
thanks
Brian

Hi Rudi, I'm interested in the headlight ears and the fork tube that are bellow them (what ever you want to call them) and all the clips, rubber bits and so on that are used to attach them to the forks and also the side covers. ;D
The biggest obstacle for me buying parts from the US is postage so i won't promise anything till i find out the freight :(

Out of interest could you tell me the engine number as it doesn't look like a 5 speed engine there is something strange about it. and the sprocket cover looks to have been repaired? thrown a chain maybe.

Rudy,

I know I'm digging this up... but do you still have the front drum setup? Thinking about switching my 74 CB450 over to drum front... do you know how this drum will compare to the single disk setup? I like the look of the drum better.
