Left side cold.

Howdy guys.

Ridin a 75 CB360T. Gettin fuel to both carbs, both plugs are firing as far as I can tell from pulling them and attempting to start my bike up. When I do manage to turn over, the right side gets hot quickly but the left stays cold.

What gives??

Also the right side is fouling up spark plugs frequently, but maybe this is an issue for another time???

Thanks!!!

Get a factory service manual (free PDF available online) and go through the full tune up procedure.

Yeah, get the manual. Then check for full charge on the battery. Then go from there.

Is the left plug wet and smell of fuel? Could be both carbs are running way rich from blocked filters or blocked exhaust or punctured floats, sticky float valves etc.

Could also be a holed piston, valves need adjusted, timing out of whack, plug cap could be loose, etc. etc. etc.

With all due respect to everyone- we need to start with a battery charge and go from there. These bikes will fire cold on one side just because of a low charge. It can be a host of issues, obviously, but we shouldn't complicate things until the basics have been eliminated first.

You're right deviant, I guess that's why I suggested a full tune-up would be in order. Right after making sure the battery is fully charged and in good operating condition ;D

Agreed. Start with simple easy to fix stuff. Give it a complete service and new plugs and go from a solid base line
