I'm about to lower the front end of my 1973 CL350......question is........how the hell do u do it? I'm somewhat mechanically challenged haha

Hey Jeff,

I lowered my cb350, cb550f & cb750f, by loosening 4 bolts then letting the forks slide through the tripple trees on the top.
The bolts you have to slowly loosen are:
1. The 2 bolts, (one on each fork), on the upper tripple tree clamp
2. The 2 bolts, (gain one on each fork), on the bottom tripple tree clamp

Put the bike on the Center Stand

I loosen the bolts slowly so that the forks dont slip up to fast or fall out.
Once you feel the movement of the foks, just push them through the upper tripple the height you want. I usually go with 2 inches
or whatever room you have, depending if Ur using Clubman bars or clip ons.
then just tighten the bolts back.

Clubman bars, (or any bars for that matter), will limit how much you can lower the bikes.
Also, Im assuming that the top part of your forks are not tapered and the top Tripple trees are not "capped"

If Ur forks are not tapered and tripple trees are not capped, it should be a simple 15 min job..

Post some close up pics of your tripple tree before you start
