My name is Luigi and I like things on wheels. Some may say that I have an addiction; I can't stop thinking about things on wheels.
On Monday, November 9, 2009, I bought a 1971 Honda CB350 from a guy in Wisconsin. The bike had a dead battery and was running on one cylinder. It had 23,xxx miles on it. Overall, it was in good shape and was a good base to start with. I paid $500 for it and loaded it on the back of my Tacoma.
Now, I'm in the process of disassembling the bike so I can really clean it and make sure that it runs like a top. I plan to make minor modifications to the bike to make it more enjoyable to ride. I love the sound of the bike, but it is loud. It's so loud that I feel sorry for my neighbors.
This Honda CB350 is not my first bike. My first bike was a 2001 Yamaha R6 i bought when I was 19. I ended up giving it to my brother-in-law last year as payment for helping me fix my house that I gutted. I also have a 2004 Yamaha vino.
So a new journey begins with this CB350. It won't be anything like my R6, but I think I will enjoy it just as much.
