Been Around the Block
Hi,
I've been reading around various posts on here, having dithered about getting Mikuni's or sticking with the Keihin's. From what I've gathered so far the Mikuni's will be a lot better and really open up the midrange which tends to be a bit strangled (or so I hear, my bike never ran any distance since I had it).
I know carburation is a science and a lot of trial and error will be needed, but are there any recommendations for a good base setting for the main and pilot jets, and float needle? If I get them I can get a base setting applied before they send them, so I'm trying to figure out where would be a good start. I guess I'll end up buying different jets to test anyway in the end.
Does anyone have an idea? Advice much appreciated.
If this is like asking how long is a piece string let me know and I'll give it my best guess and see how it goes! I know a lot of other factors will affect it too and I'm sure every bike is going to respond a bit differently.
Thanks
