OK, so just when I think my project is done...
I never liked my big, round signals... and I came across these the other day.
Just ordered 4 for 40 bucks... I'll let you know what they're like when I get em.

They reminded me of these ones Carpy uses on all his bikes:

Except his cost $100.00

OK... I ordered them yesterday and i'm waiting for the seller to send me a total... (says if you order outside the lower 48 states you have to wait for an invoice from the seller)... Messaged the seller on e-bay and through e-mail and haven't gotten a reply...

Cosmo, Noel, either one of you guys order them and / or hear from the seller??

nope. I'll wait till you give to Ok that they are good before I pick up a set for both bikes.

No problem. Assuming they get back to me with a price I'll have em shipped here priority - so I should have em hooked up and a couple pics taken in a week or so.

Went ahead and paid the quoted price from e-bay...
Now I play the waiting game...

I bought a set a couple of years ago and put them on my mean streak. Nice quality but hard to find replacement bulbs of the suitable wattage. I would buy them again tho.......you can buy spare lenses (I have a couple) from the catalogue at the local bike shop. (May be cheaper than what your paying...can't remember. Steve

Just got the Signals!

They're even smaller than I thought (in a good way).
BUT I have a problem... They don't generate enough current to cancel and blink...

Aw Shit.. how about using LED bulbs that need less amps?
Is is grounded properly?

Well I think the problem is that it needs to draw MORE, so that they'll cancel...

But I think the answer does lie in the LED's... I think i need the same type of adaptor that you use to make LED's work...
Which aint cheap, so it'll be a while before I can get them going...
I asked for suggestions in 1-800-CAFE-HELP so hopefully someone will have a good (cheap) solution.

PM Maksuttt...He's the LED god on the board...He makes his own LED's

Of course - He's mad with a soulder gun, hah.
I'll PM him and see what he says about getting em to cancel.

Thanks

Actually now I remember............. that I had to wire in some resisitors compenstate for the load. ???
Steve

That was quite a few Firkins ago :o
I remember fartin around with ohm's law and such to figure it out......what is the wattage of the old bulb and what is the wattage of the new bulb? Maybe some of the technogeeks will help you out before I figure it out.

Cheers

Steve
