It reminds me a lot of the Ladybird muffler that I have for my Gpz except your’s is twice as long! I know you were able to quiet it down a bit but it’s wayyy too long for my taste.

I have been thinking about trimming two or three inches off but I wanted to start longer to see what it looked like first. I took inspiration from the old Yoshimura stuff which is quite long (18") but a larger diameter can so the proportions are different. I'm not a fan of stubby cans on vintage bikes. I also think the camera angle and lens distortion is making it look longer than it is in reality, heres a couple from a different angle. Its crazy how much cameras/computers distort reality, it looks different in person.

How far would you have to trim to make the can section equal length on either side of the mounting clamp(if that makes sense)? I think that would make it look nice and proportional. Either way fantastic work!

After being length shamed by Doug I shortened the can by 3". Had to remake the hanger because the shorter can threw the proportions off. Also finally got around to designing some branding and making a badge - magnesium dies for logo with 3D printed die for curve.

Finally found a radial tire in the vintage sizes im running - Bridgestone T32 110/80/18 & 140/70/18. I also went with the Outex Tubeless kit. Wasn't easy to install but it removed over a 1lb from the front and 1.5lbs from the rear with the removal of the inner tubes. I also used this opportunity to do a deep clean on the wheels. I've put about 100 miles on the tires and can confirm that they are black and that they roll. Its been cold, wet, and the roads still have lots of leaves, but every now and then we get a nice day in the mix.

I will be showing this bike and the green 750 twin at The One Moto Show in Portland Oregon this year. Always good time and a lot of really impressive stuff to see. I can get you a discount on a ticket - PM me if you're interested.

I was never totally happy with the Tarozzi rear sets on this bike. The peg location was too high, too far back, and too wide for my liking. The levers were too short for my size 13 feet and the angle of them meant I occasionally pushed them unintentionally with the side of my foot dragging the rear brake. On top of that I didn't like how chunky they looked. Pretty much the only things I like about them were the mechanism to keep the kick-start I developed and the rubber on the pegs. These are a refined version of what i already had.

Last year I did a control system retrofit and complete re-wire on a Bridgeport Boss CNC knee mill. Ive been teaching my self CNC machining and this project really pushed my ability to design, engineer, program, and manufacture these parts. I learned a lot along the way.

I still need to anodize them and modify the kickstand for clearance but they are functionaly done.
