Moto Morini 350 Sport Project 1972

Hi there. I'm thinking of selling my Moto Morini 3 1/2 Sport. The bike will need to be completely built, but it is rarer then rocking horse sh*t and will be quite unique when completed. The motor was a product of Ferrari engineers and has herron heads and looks like it belongs on a Delorean or something. I'm located outside of Toronto.

Includes:
Rolling Frame, with side stand and center stand
Kawi mags with dual disc up front and Kawi front end and tripples
old FG Dunstall tank and seat with Monza cap
Complete motor and polished covers
Dellorto carbs
Most of the wiring harness is still there.

The motor will need bored and new pistons and a freshening of the top end.

I will sell the seat, front end and wheels separate if anybody is interested in those alone. I'm taking offers and encouragement to keep it and build it!

here is a link to an ad with some pics.

If I had a one of them there is no way I would part with it. As you say, a rare bike and technically interesting with the Heron head and the short pushrods.

I wonder how it lost its frame etc?

Hey guys, The frame is the original, I'm not sure when the rest of it got changed up. Believe me I am struggling with the idea of not having this bike to build... I've got a few too many projects and had my eye on a new welder. If it isn't gone soon I'm going to finish stipping the roller and sell off the Kawi stuff and the tank seatcombo and box the rest up for the rainy day when I finish my Ducati 250 and the Norton. I parted ways with a triumph Daytona basket case this week and put a 38 ford cab on the market this week. Hopefully I will come to my senses and build the Morini!

THanks for the encouragement in the "keep it and build it department"!

Yeah - keep the Morini stuff. It will only appreciate in value even if you never get around to re-building it.

By the way - who in their right mind strips a Moto Morini and replaces the running gear with Kawasaki stuff? :o

yeah I know! I picked it up like that and was pretty shocked myself. If it still had that big drum brake and those nice italian forks it would jump ahead of the Norton on the priorities list for sure.

I've had a few guys call about it, so I guess time will tell if it stays or gets adopted out.. I've got too many other projects that's all. This one is the weirdest tho by far! kijiji is a PIA and if it isn't sold soon I'm gonna listen to you guys and keep it for a rainy day.

Re: Moto Morini 350 Sport Project 1972 no longer for sale!

Hey everyone, I'm happy to say the Morini is going to stay with me and get built some day down the road. I can thank my old man for helping me keep it in the family. He had to sell all his BSA and 356a back in the day when I my sis and I came along. I guess he wanted to spare me the hardship!

I'll start a build thread for the bike soon.

Thanks! and I guess the moderators can close this one down!
cheers,

Glad you are keeping it. I have a Morini 500 sport which is almost the same bike and people are always asking me what kind of bike it is......... even though it says MotoMorini on the tank !!!!! Cool bike, check eBay and buy bits to finish it........ good luck.
