I applaud your sacrifice Will, we're all taking one for the team this month.
I'm looking forward to being kissed again in December.... :'(

Thanks Swagger, just to clear things up on the name though, my parents blessed me by using my middle name as my calling name and the family tradition of my first name being William! I have to have this discussion a lot, My dad is William, I am Brandon.

I would like to thank everyone who is participating in Movember, this holds a special place to me as this year my step father, who I am rather close too was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which his father passed away from. He had his prostate removed and it is looking like he is cancer free again. Also, 8 years ago my wife's father found out he had prostate cancer and it had progressed almost to the point of no solution. Luckily he was diagnosed cancer free again after his prostate removal, which gave me the opportunity to ask him for his daughter's hand in marriage and gave her the opportunity to walk down the aisle with him at our wedding. We currently have a friend of the family who is battling prostate cancer and have had other members of our family battle it as well. This is a serious issue and any help in research and awareness is greatly appreciated.

Again thank you all, if you would like to donate even a small amount to my MO, you can reach my MOspace here: http://us.movember.com/mospace/1073384/

and Joe, I hate the stache, I know it is horrible on me, but when people ask about it, it opens the door for me to ask them to donate!

My bad Brando, not enough coffee this morning I guess. I thought right but typed wrong.
Maybe it's because you looks so totally different without the soup catcher. Won't happen again, be assured....
and I'm right there with you. Lost my great grandpa to prostate cancer that progressed too far to treat effectively.
As you might imagine, it was horrible.

Funny about your name Brandon, it's the exact scenario as my son. His first name is (get ready for it) William, same as his grandfather who does go by William, but it's a family tradition for 6 generations. We and everyone else calls him by his 2nd name Judah. Really throws the teachers and doctors for a loop every year though.

People are pretty positive about the stach for the most part around here. My grandfather passed away 4 years from prostate cancer so its a near and dear cause to me.

Keep up the work and fundraising. We'll need to post the our facial results at the end of the month.

People at work have noticed the 'stache. There's no more flying under the radar.

boingk, you gotta shave around that stache mister!!!!!!! Rock it proud!!!!!

by the way, how much have you guys raised.....I am only up to $50

Well, you're kicking my ass. I've just posted my second plea on Facebook, but am quickly coming to the realization that my friends and family have the combined purchasing power of a transient.

I think most of mine are right there with them!

If I didn't donate $9 to myself I'd have nothing donated :(

I'm in it mainly for the awareness, and if I can convince anyone to donate then thats a bonus.

As for the stash... the plan is to let it grow out a bit more (14 day mark) and cut it all back so I've got a bit of a goatee thing happening along with some Wolverine-esque sideburns. Always over the top down my way haha.

BTW JRK? Awesome getup in that photo hahahaha...made my morning when I saw it.

Cheers guys, keep up the good stuff - boingk

Good job everyone, the month is still young! I've finally posted the link on Facebook so we'll see what that does... as for my asi-mexi stache, its finally showing a bit of progress, I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow.

Anyone who's interested, here's what I posted on the 'ol FB:

"It's that time again! This year we've assembled a ragtag group of DIY bike builders from accross the country, doing their part to change the face of mens health. Me along with a few brave souls from Dotheton.com are growing our mo's to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research, a disease which will saldy cost more than 32,000 men like us their lives this year. This is a very important cause to all of us and we greatly appreciate any and all support!! We are getting our hands and upper lips dirty! Donate and help us build awareness for MOvember!!!"

then of course the link to your Mospace. It helped out tons last year so I suggest doing a bit of promotion yourself if you havent done so already! Keep it going!

Did you do that?

No, a friend of mine who is a pro artist did it for me, he is a grad of the Joe Kubrick school and worked for marvel for a while. He also worked for Disney, but did not like it there. He now does free lance work and has done the story boards for several films. He is currently compiling his graphic novel.

Your friend is very good. I can draw quite well, but lack even a speck of creativity. Gotta love it.

Here is my mo-gress.

I didn't have the actual wig like Joe, but the 'stache needed some disco flair.
