My baffle is stuck

I have a stock Kerker exhaust for a KZ1000R (1983) and looking to change the baffle inside the muffler to get some more sound. I have removed the rear part of the exhaust and I am trying to pull out the stock baffle to change it with a 2" baffle from Dynoman, but it's stuck. I've tried spraying some WD-40 in there to loosen things up and hitting it with a rubber mallet without success. Any tips on how to knock this baby out of there?

I'm in sort of the same boat only I don't have a baffle. Really want to put one in but can't get the damn end cap off the exhaust.

Well I managed to get the baffle out today after doing some Google research last night. Found this post on another forum:

This is the same baffle as I had :)

What I didn't know before my googling was that the stock baffle is quite long with an extension pipe (see PIC in above link) going from the muffler into the exhaust. By using amount of WD40 into the end cap section and knocking the darn extension pipe with a wood piece and a mallet I was able to loosen it. I had to keep on knocking for a while to get the whole piece out. Now there is some residue of fiberglass stuck on the inside of the muffler that I am trying to clean out.

I am looking forward to hearing what the Dynoman 2" competition baffle sounds like ;)
