My New RD400

Picked this up tonight. 13K miles. Owned for about 20+ years by the same guy who really knew his stuff. Everything works and is completely unmolested.

This one is not getting cut up for sure. Anything I do is going to be reversible so I can change in back to completely original if I have to.

Clean RD welcome to the world of 2 strokes. BTW the head is of a 79 Daytona which is easy to replace if you want to go stoke but it is a much cooler looking head. Here is a pic of my Daytona I have only made mods that can be reversed since it was original except for the paint. Check out usa2strokers and 2strokeworld for a bunch of good info on RD's

Thanks guys. The head is the daytona head, the only mod the PO did to it. The shocks have been replaced in the rear, but outside of that everything is original. Anything I do will be completely reversible as these bikes are pretty difficult to find in an un-molested state. Can't wait to cruise around the back roads with this thing.

Thanks, everyone should own an RD at some point. they are more work than a modern 4 stroke but nothing is better than the uncivilized power band and smell of a 2 stroke.
