I am looking at replacement exhaust systems for an '80 GS850L. Vance & Hines has a nice chrome 4-into-1 for $300. The one I like better though, is Mac 4-into-1 black with black canister exhaust. It is also $300. I think it should be cheaper, because it's not chromed. This one is good for this bike because the bike has saddlebags, and the upswept megaphones of the V&H and some other Mac pipes may direct the exhaust to the underside of the right bag, which has been a problem with the stock exhaust.
Does anyone have a good source for the Mac Exhaust? The project has a tight budget. What about other 4-into-1 systems for this bike? Is there anything out there? I would rather custom fabricate something, but this project just doesn't have the budget for that.
