Needed! A friend in the US to take delivery of an eBay purchase for me

Seller will only ship to the US. So, if there's someone out there who's willing to take delivery and then re-send on to me (at my expense of course) it would be appreciated.
 
what is it and how big is it?
You could always mail it to my sister on Baltimore and She could just send if over to me.

just as long as its not an engine, 60 inch plasma, a pony for your daughter, etc..etc...
 
It's a BMW Wixom trunk/mounting bracket. Probably a box about 24 inches cubed.

The seller is boxing it up and might end up shipping directly to me which will save time and money.
 
I box up stuff and resend to australia all the time if you need I am in Connecticut about 8 hours drive from you so I can't imagine to bad on reship. let me know details happy to do it.
 
He ended up shipping directly as it turned out. I think by USPS which is good. UPS just delivered the Wixom saddlebags I bought and charged me up the wazoo for brokerage/taxes.
 
Well, I always insist on that, but in this case the seller took it upon himself to change gears and send UPS. What's worse is he marked a $77 item with a value of $200! So I got dinged a lot extra on taxes/brokerage.

A call to UPS surprisingly sorted that out though. Because it was an eBay purchase they actually went online and saw the auction price of $77. They're processing a credit to my VISA.

So it cost me an extra $25 or so over what I'd have paid Canada Post. CP charges $5 brokerage + taxes and UPS charged $31 + taxes. Of course with Canada Post you stand a good chance of them not charging you anything. I'd say 75% of the shipments that I get are missed by CP for brokerage and taxes.
 
Actually the best deals for customs taxes are always from non-english speaking countries. If Canada Customs cant figure out what it is and how much it's worth, then they can't ding you for it.

I imported some mufflers from Germany that cost me 300 euros + shipping and I didn't et dinged fro customs changres because the package description was in german.
