Happy New Year to you all first and foremost... My name is Steven. I bought a 75' cb550f a month and a half ago for 1000.00 bucks. Bike is in great shape with only 15330 actual miles. Its a one owner, now 2, bought in Decatur GA back in 76. Fellow lived up here in Chickamauga GA just south of Chattanooga TN. I bought the bike from him after seeing it in the parking lot where i work. His son had been riding it recently to save on fuel. I fell in love with it immediately and made him an offer on the spot. i owned the beauty in 3 days. These sites on the cafe builds are so addicting. I've been a lurker on here for a few weeks and decided to join in... Thank you all for your time and attached is a pic of the bike.

Welcome to DTT, nice buy on the Honda. It looks "almost" to good to chop up. Lot of great people on the forum, always willing to help out.

Welcome Steve!! Looking forward to watching your build! As you know, my bike was nearly identical to yours, color and all, just not in the same condition. Yours will be much easier to work on and have less to restore than mine did. Thats a good thing lol.
 
Hey man, that thing looks pristine! Welcome to DTT! On the regional groups board there is a sub-forum for the Atlanta area. We just got that started, we are having a meetup in January and we are trying to get some group rides going on when the the weather gets nice again. Bring that beauty out and let us see it in person.
 
Sounds great... i noticed the Dirty South Forum... would love to bring it out and show it. I have only been riding now for 2 months. im still learning alot and i have a great bike for it... easy to work on to an extent. thanks for the replys... i am on here about everyday checking things out and learning new mechanics of these hondas... have a good one. drop a line with me anytime.
