Hey everyone i stumbled across this site after recieving a hand me down 79 GS750l, my dad didnt ride it anymore and decided i could do something with it. So after a quick 30 seconds of unloading it into my garage i started tear down, now the motor is on my workbench and everything else is in various places in my garage i have decided to ressurect this machine into a cafe racer. Before i stripped the bike down i did kick it over and it sounded rough but i think it just needed a carb clean and fresh gas especially since it hasnt been riden in 5+ years. Sooooooo......... while i have the motor out should i take it apart and rebuild it or just clean it up and put it back in? any ideas
