Hey names Devin, got a 83 CB650, not exactly a good platform for a cafe bike, but I'm not building a cafe bike I'm building a cafe and streetfighter influenced bar hopper. Anyway here's what I've started with.
It's a high mileage bike I picked up 3 years ago for 600$, carbs needed done and a front tire and it was A1. Got me through high school just fine. Point is I got bored with it so it's time to change it up. My camera is MIA at the moment, so here's what I've done. Replaced the airbox with pods, built new brackets to hold the ignition, regulator, battery and horns where the airbox used to be. Notched the side covers for clearance for the pods. Replaced the square headlight with one from a 70's CB with a H4 conversion with 10000k HID bulb and ballast. Some Renthal Ultra low bars, and I'm currently working on a handbuild LED inegrated taillight. I'm going to paint the body work and tank a dark graphite colour with a semi-gloss clear. Everything else will be flat black with bright red accents. Except the pipe, I plan on a MAC 4-1 and wrapping the header and extension pipe with black wrap. Only bit of shiny on this bike will be the muffler.
