New Guy In Michigan

Hello all,

just picked up a 1975 CB750 Super Sport last month for a winter project and I've started tearing it apart. I've ridden and owned bikes all my life. Here's the rusty bucket of bolts on the day I brought it home and a few other toys I've tinkered with over the years.

a 75 750 with rear disc brake, cool! Nice find, looks like it's missing a few things but nothing major :)

Yep, it's missing the side covers and the tail section but it's got that amazing seat! ;) Luckily the tank has no dents but it has been coated and there's a bit of rust. 13k on the clock and it runs except for the gummy carbs.

The plans are to strip it to the frame, clean it up, rebuild the carbs and go cafe racer. I've got a few ideas, but we'll see if I can make them pan out.

37 years of rust, leaky engine, 1.5 inches of caked on dirt-grease and bad bearings with caramelized grease that need to be replaced.

The previous owner had never heard of maintenance.
