New guy with a CB350

Whatsup all? I've been lurking around here for the past month or so, and finally got the time to sit down and register today.
Name's Brian, I live in Omaha, NE. I envy you guys that can ride year round! This cold/snow stuff sucks!
Anyway, I've got a '70 CB350 that I got off ebay last year. It was in pieces, had no idea if it ran, and found it was missing a good amount of stuff once I got it together. Spent last spring gathering parts to get it street-worthy, and got it on the road by the end of summer, just in time to put it away for winter ::)
Here's what I started with:

Got it in good enough shape to pass inspection:

And how it sits currently:

Really liking this place! You guys build some sweet stuff! ;D

Welcome. Looks like you're heading in the right direction on your 350. I just got a CL350 myself and I am building a CB450 right now.

Thanks for the welcome! 8) I'll be posting up some more progress pics and stuff in the projects section, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions too.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like the new color, but it's growing on me. Didn't turn out too bad for rattle-can red primer. Didn't really have a choice, it was just what I had the most of in the cabinet. If I had a bunch of lime green, it would have been lime green. Well, maybe not..... :P Tryin to do this on the cheap! ;D

depaint it. and clear coat. just labor to strip and clear coat cost at the point
good looking bike in the blue and white

You should see Saucer's tank..
he has the exact same tank but he sanded it down to bare metal, clear cloated it then put it on his cb360...
Its a totally differnt bike with a different attituded with this tank on it!!..

Damn! :o That tank is bitchin! At least the next time I strip it down, I'll only be going through 2 coats, instead of the 5 that were on it. The blue looks way better in the pics than in real life. It was a really old, bad spraypaint job, with runs, bubbles and nasty stuff that was just painted over(hair, grass, dust.....) Trust me, this is a huge improvement. 8)

You didn't know 350's came wth all that stuff in the paint stock from honda??

Hah, It is an improvement. Nothin wrong with a red Cafe.

Not to mention, once you upholster that seat black it will break up the red and I think it'll look fantastic.
