Hi all,

Thought I would introduce myself. My names Mikey (FFBeefy as I am a FireFighter here in London and the boys at the station have nicknamed me Beefy!!) I am 28 and have been playing with bikes since I was 16. Some of my previous bikes include: Suzuki Bandit 600 customised, Suzuki GSXR 750 WN, GSXR 7/12 streetfighter, KTM 525 Supermoto, Suzuki Bandit 6/12 streetfighter project.

I recently saw a US television programme called Cafe Racer and I was hooked, so I recently bought myself a cafe Racer Project. Its a custom made Norton Featherbed replica frame with a Yamaha XS 650 engine, custom made tank and seat unit and Yamaha Diversion Forks yokes and wheels.

Crap pic of the bike how I picked her up........

Will start a project thread on her soon as there is still lots to do and expect some questions as these xs650 engines are new to me.

So thats me guys and gals,

Beefy.

Welcome Beefy. That's a nice looking start just as she stands in the photo. Good luck, she's gonna be a beauty.

G'day Beefy
nice frame & good luck with the project...just a question, are you thinking about a bigger front wheel??? looks bloody small against your rear :-\
cheers pete

Pete I thought that when I first saw this picture of the bike but the difference in size is actually not that bad. I will have a look at the wheels and see what the sizes are but, I will probably go bigger on the front or smaller on the rear to get a better look.

Sorry Beefy, I should have said welcome to the site earlier. Good to have ya around. Looks like a good project!

Cheers guys,

Been real busy since I got the bike home, but will get a project thread started up soon as I want to get it back together and start figuring out what I need to buy and fabricate to get this bike on the road. So keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks again for the welcome,

Beefy.
