I saw new of the guys on PNW Riders mention this board so I had to check it out..
I just started riding this summer on my little XS400..
At first I bought a 80 XS-400 parts bike to rebuild and then got the 77 intending to use it as parts for the 80.
Well the 77 was much better so it kind of went the other way around.
I haven't dome much to the 77.. I'm torn between keeping it stock or making it a cafe bike..
All we did so far was the basics to get it on the road and a made up a new set cover.
I've been thinking of adding Clubmans or Daytona bars and rear sets..
This is how we got the 77
The new Seat (don't laugh to hard, yeah it's made from some old leather riding pants)
How it sits today
The 80 is missing many parts but will still make a great start for a Cafe project.. Most of the stuff I'd change is missing anyway.
I've been messing with the idea of building a solo seat using the grab bar as a frame..
