New phase in life and a new old bike....

Hey! Name is Michael and I am from Santa Cruz CA. I will soon be in posession of a '74 CB450. Baby is in phenominal condition with 18K orig. on the ticker. I just made a trade deal for one of my vintage guitar amps. The owner is a vintage racer and is meticulous about his bikes. I have not had a bike in a number of years and am really looking forward to doing some mild cafe mods. When I was a kid, my uncle had a motorcycle shop in San Jose, CA. We rode bikes all throughout my teenage years. They got put by the wayside and I am really looking forward to riding again.

Can you throw any beta my way regarding CB450 specific sites and such? Digging this site!
 
Damn! That thing looks clean! A little engine cleanup or paint and it would look very minty indeed. The tank looks beautiful, although I know everything looks better in pictures.

What are your plans for the bike?

I'm kinda in the same boat as you. Rode all through HS and college then sold my bike when I got married. Only took me 10 years to talk my wife into letting me get another bike.

Thanks! I am going to keep it mild [right..] for now. First things will be a set of bars and some rearsets, then a seat, a 2 in to two header set and peashooter exhaust. You know how it goes though, next thing you know, you are looking for a new spot for that battery and a pair of air cleaners for the carbs...

Thus far, I am seeing a few very cool options at BCR..
