Hi, I am Wolfgang from Vienna/ Austria. I got an 2012 ACE125 from a dealer who had it hanging on the wall for decoration for the last 10 years or so. It was already modified with a 167FMM LIFAN engine, a one-off curved exhaust and some chassis mods, but all very poorly done. I got the bike for free in return for some carb setup on one of his other bikes.
I installed a larger diameter header pipe and a nice megaphone exhaust, replaced instruments, handlebars, headlight and relocated all electronics plus battery under the seat.
A completed 2 shake down rides already adding up to 80 km. GPS Top speed so far was 106km/h but still with 15/38 standard final ratio. The bike pulls really strong uphill and revs out in 5th gear, so I already ordered a 16T sprocket,.
Next step is to replace the brake (which has a too modern design) with a CB250K drum brake in alloy flanged rims. I would like to find another fork for that with 31mm diameter and a 15mm front axle mi us the lugs for the brake caliper, possibly with triple clamps plug- and-play into the Ace frame.
Any recommendations of front end?
