Ok when I fitted the QA throttle Ireplaced the switch gear.

I was happy with the combined unit on the left (although It didn't have a pass switch & I had to junk the choke cable

I wasn't so happy with the Right switch , looked cheap & nasty

So that got replaced with this I found on fleabay (sorry dont have a fitted pic at the moment)

I've now decided to order these(again from fleabay) as I've found a problem with the combined switch (which may just be my thick fingers) in that switching from main back to dip I inadvertently keep turning the lights off

They look nice Mike - I am having a think about my bars and switches - For now I'm leaving them but in time may change. I am trying to keep a 'production road machine' look but will swap anything that fits in with this theme that works better.

What did you think to a meet up somewhere? - Get this I just looked on Google Earth to try and spot somewhere in between Warrington and Brighouse and went to Pendle -There is something called The Ace Center there!

Switches actually arrived yesterday and they are as I suspected exactly the same (down to the way the OEM throttle & choke lever can fit) as the OEM items except they have a chrome finish.

Oh and the wiring includes connectors for the clutch & brake light and obvioulsy the wrong connectors to interface with the bike ;o)

I got the combined switch in your first picture from oo - turns out it was not quite "plug and play".

https://www.ooracing.com/store/index.php?_a=product&product_id=1661 is only £16.00 where as the "all in one" kit they sell with the starter switch (that I don't need as my starter is removed) is £34.99 (https://www.ooracing.com/store/index.php?_a=product&product_id=4605) So I went for the cheaper option.

The switch comes with the 9 pin plug - but the wires are all mixed up.

First fuse blew when I tried just connecting it as is - no luck. After consulting the wiring diagrams and about another 4 blown fuses later I finally got most of it working - lights on/off, low/high beam and indicators... just cant get the horn button to work!!!

On the old plug, horn had two wires LIGHT GREEN and GREEN. On the new switch - there is only one wire for horn (LIGHT GREEN)... this is where my electrical knowledge stops... what do I do with the existing GREEN wire???

Can anyone give me any clues?

disconnect blue wire and tape up with electrical tape..(+ve that goes live with ignition on). get a new wire and attach this terminal of horn to chassis ground. attach light green wire from horn to new wire (+ve feed to horn) . it will go beep beep

dark green wire existing is ground..old wiring is earth switched...leave this wire disconnected

I have the kit. The single button on mine though is a kill switch. I'm assuming the extra money may go to actually rewiring the thing to match the original Ace wirings.
