New to bikes.

Hello all. I'll just start out by saying I know next to nothing about bikes but bought one anyway. It's a '73 cb350 that isn't in too bad of shape but does need some work. For right now I'm just trying to get it running correctly but the cafe look will come eventually. I'm a car guy so wrenching isn't a problem but cycles are pretty alien to me. My only cycle experience is tinkering with the wife's '68 Vespa Sprint 150 (cafe racer scooter anyone?).

I wouldn't call her a Mod, just appreciative of vintage styling. At least its a '68 instead of some new plastic space scooter and besides, if she hadn't bought the Vespa I wouldn't have bought the Honda. By the way, that's my daily driver '66 Chevelle in the background which returns 10 mpg, another reason I got a small bike.

nah i was just pullin your leg... im only 20 and growing up my dad always pushed the interest of classic cars my way... taking me to car shows, teaching me to change the oil etc. and one of the first classics to ever catch my eye, my FIRST dream car, was a 71 Chevelle SS, so I can appreciate your gas guzzler for sure!

oh and by the way... 100th POST... HIT THE TON!!!!

welcome. motorcycles are much easier to fix than cars. just remember to never wrench in anger. bikes have a tendency to fight back by falling over onto their owners. ;D

if it isn't running good clean the carbs. i mean off the bike, soaking them for 2 days kind of cleaning. the CV carbs can be a real pain. DO NOT damage a diaphram they're $90 each from honda. i have a manual in pdf format if you need one.
