Hey Guys, I've been lurking on here for a while as I searched for a CB350 to start my first ever cafe build. I should be picking one up tomorrow and I'll have some time to work on it during the upcoming winter break from school.
A little about myself: I'm a sportbike fan. I race a CBR600RR in the CCS FL region and I do the occasional trackday. I'm not sure if I'm going to race the CB in AHRMA yet, but it will definitely see a trackday or two after I finish it up. I am also an editor for trackdaymag.com, a bi-monthly online magazine devoted to trackdays and racing. Check it out if you like! (Great, another motorcycle website to check out at work....)
Here is a questionnaire that my CBR forum likes the newbs to fill out:
1. Boxers/Briefs/Thong/Grannies/Commando: I a boxer man. Commando always seemed too sticky, especially in Florida.
2. Years riding: 9 dirt, 4 street, 3.5 track
3. Biggest mistake in life you've ever made: Leaving college to work at a dead end job. I've since corrected that error.
4. Other bikes owned: CR125, 05 and 06 CBR600RRs
5. Is synthetic oil better than dino oil? Maybe, I just use dino on the trackbike and change it every other weekend.
6. When was the last time you lubed your chain? Every race or every 3-500 miles on the streetbike
7. 87 or 91 octane? 87. Although I love the smell of U4.2
8. Number of crashes? dirt - too many, street - none (knocking on wood), track - two (broken collarbone, broken wrist, broken thumb, broken ego)
9. Where is the bank angle sensor located and what does it do? On my racebike - ziptied to the front fairing stay, cuts the motor off when I bin it in the gravel trap
10. Is a cush drive significant to you? Yes, especially when I lose one of the rubber bits 5 minutes before the race
11. Favorite movie: Black Hawk Down
12. When was the last time you were kicked in the groin? Last time I went to buy some Pirelli race tires...
13. How do you pronounce "Akrapovic"? Akrapovic. Got any more brainbusters?
