Newb from NC here

Mr.E

Got to keep the loonies on the path...
Hey all, I've been lurking for a couple weeks on here before registering, and finally took the couple minutes to join up. I'm a bit new to the cafe racer scene, (used to be pretty active on the sportbike world forums a few years back, and the last 2 bikes I had (87 ninja 750, 98 katana 600) have been sold for the last 3 years, and my wife finally gave in and bought me a 1975 cb750 about a month ago to quell my constant bantering about a cafe project... Yes, she is the best in the world in my opinion. Anyways, I'll be nickel & diming this snotter back together over the summer, and hope to be hitting the ton again soon in the asheville area.

Love the forum here, and how helpful everyone is to each other. I think I first stumbled here looking at mysta2's wicked projects, Love the work man. So enough of all this chatter, I've got a bike to build!

Welcome to the forum man! I myself am nickel and diing a cb750, mine's a 72. Get a project thread started over in big arse projects!

Damn - I figured if you live in Asheville NC, you'd have to own a cafe racer by law or something! My buddy and I rode through the area last fall - amazing roads.

Can't forget the dragon's tail too! it's only about 1.5 hours from my place. My bro and I used to ride there all the time back in college. I'm hoping to be back there again by september if my bikes done. Ive been seeing a few cafe's riding through Lake Lure in the last few weeks too, I take it there's a lot of em around here then?

Im up in the Lake Lure area in the winter/fall season climbing a bunch. That whole stretch of Hwy 64 is amazing. I am in SC so I don't get to ride up that way much. This fall I am planning on spending some time on the parkway.Keep me posted on the progress . It would be rad to plan a ride with a bunch of cafe's.My buddy lives in Asheville he would be down.

Cool man I'll try to get it going by then. I actually live about 15 mins from lake lure
