"Lift up yer' kilt n' let it dangle!"
Hey guys. I've been a fan of Cafe' racers for most of the 40+ years Ive been riding but until 3 days ago I didn't have a suitable bike. I wasn't looking for a project bike but I just happened upon this poor 1973 CB550 sitting out in the rain. I left a note for the owner and two weeks later I got a call from a lady telling me she had TWO of the bikes and wanted to sell them. $250.00 later I'm the owner of one complete but rough 73' and one engine-less but minty 75'. Unfortunately the 73' was the one left outside for two years and the engine is seized. It appears water got in at least 2 cylinders and rusted the rings to the bores. I cant even get the head off because I can't get the camshaft out. (any suggestions?)

Very carefully cut the chain off? You will have to grind the pins off to get a chain breaker tool on there anyway. But I do want to stress "carefully".

Welcome to DTT! Great score on the scoots. Get the titles for both?

Yeah I thought about that. Guess that's the only option lol.

No titles but that's an easy fix in Ontario as long as you have a bill of sale. Thanks for the welcome btw!
