Hey guys, I'm Joseph from Texas. 26 years old, married with a 2 month old daughter. Been riding for 4-5 years, mostly dual sports. Had a few street bikes including V65 Sabre, Honda Shadow, Triumph 955i Daytona. Plan on using this bike to fart around town on, travel to a couple of vintage bike events that happen a few hours away.

Found this 360 on Craigslist for cheap. Lowballed and got it for next to nothing. Came with a parts bike with no engine, and a ton of spare fenders, lights, a rear section with taillight of an unknown bike. No title, but have done bonded titles before and not too worried about it.

8k miles, throttle cables and front brake were locked up. Carbs were the nastiest things I have ever seen. Mixed lysol and water 50/50 and put it in the wife's crockpot overnight, got the carbs cleaned out nicely.

Tires are dryrotted. Tank has been kreem'd, looks like a decent job, may POR15 it, may not.

Had no spark when I first bought it. Took points off, cleaned 'em up best I could and that fixed the no spark issue.

And, about a week after I bought her...

It runs!!!

She lives!

Have seen some pretty inspiring rides on here. Looking to do straight bars, and a homemade seat / rear section. Maybe a black / gold color scheme, carry it over to the front fender. Not gonna be any mirror polishing on this bike. Probably take some acid and get all the aluminum looking uniform, but that's about it. It's all gonna be low budget. Don't plan on opening the engine unless it blows, and then I'll probably just buy another CB360.

I'll probably start a slow build thread once I get it going, and since I just got her running, I plan on picking up the pace.

Welcome, nuther damn 360 ;D Flock grows by the day around here seems like.

Looks like a great place to start, since it's a 74 FIRST THING check the engine number if it says CB360E- 10XXXXX then its a CB and correct for the year. Look at the DASH in the number it SHOULD look like a division sign. As in a dash with a punch dot above and below. These bikes had issues with cam tensioners and rocker arm pins and bolts. IF you do then I would venture to say yours got the recall work. IF not then make damn sure you keep the cam chain tight, or it will tear all sorta crap up. The only real way to know for sure is to pull the valve cover off and look. Get a manual as well, you will need it.

The frame number will tell you as well if it s a CB or a CL the number will start the same as the engine. It is not uncommon for the frame and the engine number to be off a ways. Mine is 5000 different. As far as the front brake search around on here, there are several 360 builds going right now and I know at least 2 have had to deal with it. The cables are stupid cheap on eBay, you can soak them in WD-40 and they will go back to work but that's a hassle. That starter button is all over eBay as well, and not an uncommon busted part either, I think you can still get them at a dealer.

You also outa list up the spare parts you don't need, I know I'm still looking for a good front fender for mine.

Good luck bro. :D
