Newbie from Georgia

Hey y'all,

My name is Jeb and I live in South Georgia(it's different from North Georgia, really!). I've been on bike for 30+yrs.
So that means a lot of wrenching and I've rebuilt several bikes(dirt and street) and I really enjoy metal fab, but have never reworked a bike into something different than it was originally. My brother-in-law was given a CL350K3. The original owner had the complete bike and had been stockpiling NOS parts and eBay specials. My bro had good intentions, but realized that he would never get around to it, so now it's mine. My plan is to give it the cafe racer treatment. I'm not in a big hurry(family and work come first), but I'm excited about the fabrication aspect of it.
Here's the bike when I brought it home.

Looking forward to seeing other's projects and passing ideas around!

Welcome to the farm. Good to see more Georgia around here. I'm over in Augusta. Love the CL and the XL behind it.

Welcome....as Eric stated above....good to see more Georgians on here.

Also in the Augusta area.

I too like those type of bikes.....I have a CB350 twin engine I'm working on rebuilding.

Thanks y'all! The XL600 was one of those rebuilds 4yrs ago. It's almost stock, but with a 10.5 comp motor. I ride it every day that I can. Can you say WHEELIE MONSTER!!!.
budlite,
I may be picking your brain on my engine rebuild. I always tend to wanna go crazy with my engine builds, but I'm trying to convince myselft to keep it simple on this one. We'll see how it ends up.
By the way, I'm in Valdosta.
