Greetings all,
Great site and look forward to your input regarding my recent purchase; 72 Honda cb450k5. Any info regarding said bike will be greatly appreciated. Pics are forth coming. Thanks

Looks good, I will say that it looks like those marzocchi shock are on backwards... Not sure if it matters, but the reservoirs should be out back.

I think your right. The previous owner had it in his garage and did nothing to it.

Thanks Krash, I'm in Madison. Do you know anybody in these parts into this kinda rig? I don't see many at the various bike nights and random cruising around town.
 
i am not a suspension guru, but by backwards should the resivor be in the back, or upside down, and it should be on the top?

Thanks stik. The camera did not show the true condition of the bike. I'm currently tearing it down to get at the frame and remove the latex house paint the previous owner used to bathe the entire bike in. This will more then likely be a long drawn out process; first build blues don't you know. I'm havin' a great time. Thanks for the good words.

Well all piggy back shocks are different. Those marzocchi's "should" be on the bottom, and on the back side... but I have a set of ohlins that are the opposite, so it just depends. really all that matters is that they are the right way up, which they are, unless those are different from the ones I got laying around in my shop somewhere. There should be a little arrow on there, pointing up, but I too am no "guru," but I like to think that I know a little ;)

Thanks for the info. I thought they where on backwards. I just picked up the bike several weeks ago. The Marzocchi's are leaking badly, have replacements coming. I can use all the help I can get. Thanks again.
 
I have only seen 1 other cafe bike in my area, and i am in the Wausa area. course with the crap that happened this morning there will only be one for awhile.

My regulator for the CB360 went ape, and literally opened the gates of the stator which is about 20v at crusie RPM, and melted dow all the lights, and started the doped up regulator on fire. it was great smelling electrical smoke all day

one match will take care of this mofo.

Sorry about the late response, just have'nt checked the site much lately. Unfortunately those stikers where stategically placed over dents and scratches.

Sorry to hear about your mishap, gotta love the old bikes! Hope to hear your back on the road in a timely fashion.
