Hoosier Daddy

Earache my eye...
Hey all!
Newest member but not the youngest. 47, married, 4 Daughters (21,22,23 & 24)... 1 grand Daughter and another on the way. Was an Auto-Tech at Stealerships for 17 years, Now I'm a Maintenance Supervisor at a Plastics Plant that makes car parts.
Got my first Cycle back in '82 a pair of '69 BSA A-65's. A Thunderbolt and Lightening with a ton of parts. Restored the single carbed Thunderbolt and then Cafe'ed the twin carbed Lightening.
Found this place doin' the "cafe" search when a member on another forum got me thinking about a bone stock '74 CB350-four he is tempting me with. Lurked around then signed up when I liked what I saw. place to chill and chat.
Current Project is "Bomber" a Cafe'nated '81 GL1100 Standard Sumo fighter / full figured Gal. She was a siezed up Heap "outside the Barn find". I stripped her all the way down to a sandblasted frame, ditched the Vetter tupperware and fenders, added a set of Broomstix bars, cleaning, rebuiding, painting each part before it goes back on for good. Molding a home made Brat seat and I got the replacement engine apart on the bench for a freshening up.
Glad to be here, bring it on MoFo's.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm on the North / East corner of Indiana, Kendallville. Already started a bike build thread in the Big Arse Projects LINKY
For the short story here is the day she showed up...

And here is how she sits today. The Shelter (faux tank) and side covers are from my parts donor bike I put a quick spray bomb paint job on to see a mock up of the stripes I'm thinkin of. GL's "tanks" are just covers for the electricals and the actual fuel tank is behind the engine under the seat. ;D
