Got home tonight and put my original signal back on..and you guessed it, everything works fine and dandy....ill be damned, i cant believe i spent 2 hours burning fuses and a multimeter looking for a band ground just due to this (pardon my french) fucking signal.

i guess i will have to look for a dual filament one and sell this single one(cost me $27)

for now i just put the lens on my old cracked housing so that i can go write my road test. I also replaced my Signal relay and everything works great now.

Thanks again for the valuable information, saved me allot of time.

Know anything about RD250s? haha just picked one up and got some issues with it as well.

Duggy I have 4 signal lights for the cb360. Just come for a rip out to Calgary and bring that engine.

Glad I could help. I'm still pretty new at all this as well, and I've never worked on an RD, but just so happens the turn signals on my CJ didn't work when I got it so I had to figure it out. Turns out the PO replaced the front signals and used the wrong wiring diagram when he put it all back together. He told me that he replaced them, but only after getting the headlight bucket off did I notice the mixup.

Then, later, I put on new after market signals. I put on the rear first, wired them up, and nothing would flash. I later found out after some forum searching that it was simply because the front and rear signals were no longer "the same". So I wired up the front blinkers I purchased and voila! It worked.

I've also heard that if you switch to LED blinkers at any point, you'll have to switch to an LED purposed flasher relay, as the LED's lower power consumption is not enough to trip the flasher.

I know you've got an RD now too, and they're kickass bikes, but don't forget about this little CJ. They were never really appreciated when they came out. The CB was already hugely popular. I'm not exactly sure what Honda was going for with it. I've heard everything from, "The CJ was Honda's attempt at a proper cafe racer" to "It was the really poor man's CB". But they're a lot of fun, unique, and shit it's a Honda!

THE CJ will not be forgotten! hahaa, i really just want to get the RD running and drivable so dirtbag will buy it off me(hinthint) and it will be more money to help stretch my CJ this winter!...ello 4" longer swing arm.
