I want to fit a Alloy manx tank in my bmr r100 79.

Do you have measures of the tank and or a built threat like that?
If it´s fits easily or with a lot of moods?
One picture of the bottom of the tank ?

thank you so much
RR

Forget it RR ........................

The Manx tank has a very shallow tunnel. You would end up with the tank perched way on top of the chassis with loads of daylight between it and the engine - or you would need major surgery on the underside of the tank.

There are alternatives, with slight mods at the rear you could fit the Metisse / Triumph style tanks from the 60's / 70's and a GRP tank would be a lot cheaper than an alloy version !

Another option would be to contact Sean an RocCity cycles. He hand fabs alloy tanks for any bike in any style. Killer work too.

I like this one ;D

Thanks for the answers

RR,

I've seen tanks very similar to this one advertised in the US Cafe Racer magazine. The manufacturer tends to go for modern aircraft style filler caps - but the shape is similar.

These are quite common in the UK secondhand, but are still expensive at £80 - £150 depending on condition.

hi guys thanks for the inputs ...

Look at this one .... wonderful

I want that kind of thank ... so sweet ...

I will post pictures of my bike ...

RR,

that tank is probably one of the new breed of Manx lookalike tanks with a very high tunnel at the front. A "real" Manx tank is very shallow there - look at a 3 gallon Manx tank for reference.

There are several people making "Manx" style tanks with a tall inner tunnel now. Certainly looks good on that Airhead.

Thanks for sharing... :'( its a beauty

Where did you bought ? and the model please?

Thanks
RR

P.S. Today i took some photos of mine i will open a threat

Thanks. I know it isn't a Monza tank, but the underside and mount will be similar.

I bought this tank from WBO Racing in Germany. They have stopped production of their
tanks, unfortunately.

Yes, very similar if not identical. There ar eseveral other shops and individuals producing this design.

The WBO is hand made, top quality, perfectly finished, and beautiful in design. If you can find one, get it!
