Don't have a cafe just yet, in the process of selling my '04 GSX-R. Hopefully soon though! Probably check out Mods vs Rockers in Chicago 6/17 & 18 for some inspiration. Coming from a longer list of sportbikes, this will be my first non sports bike motorcycle. I have to admit, I am looking forward to a little more comfort and better riding position. Maybe it's because I turned 30 this year .

Goals for the bike will be a simple racer/vintage bike. Something like this that has a modern front end/suspension. That being said, I am open to suggestions as to starting platforms! Prefer something 5-600cc or bigger!

Welcome to DTT! Where you at? I'm in Joliet. I am planning on checking out Mod vs. Rockers too. My Honda is in pieces right now though, so I will be there to see what is to be seen and get some ideas. Your inspiration pic is a fantastic looking bike. I hope your on 2 wheels again soon!

I'm in Vernon Hills. Check out chicagolandsportbikes.com in the vintage sub forum if you aren't on there already. There are a few guys that have some recently completed builds that look pretty sweet! From what I read, should be a good time. Hopefully it's not swealtering hot like it is today LOL.
