Im not gonna buy a english wheel ever so...even tho i hate to break my rule (tools are for working with not working on) i gotta. a few days ago i found a newish 9/3 inch forged steel caster off a super heavy duty scrap hopper. after i cut the nylon tread off i built a yoke and then i talked a machinist into truing it right with the world and the center line on the bearings

Next i bought a set o hf lower anvils with a 25% off coupon and found some 3/8's to donate to my couse

Yeah but they will look at you funny when you drag a half completed english wheel into work to chop it up.

Ground the corner off the hunk of 1 inch i used for the base waved the tig over the welds to make damn sure there tied in proper i need to bevel the seems i opened up smoothing the sides and make 4 lil welds and ill call the yoke finished
