Official "Show off your helmet" thread

I just couldn't help myself, its a sickness......

A good run of Ebay lids for me the past couple weeks.

Simpson 2nd gen Bandit helmet. Needs new paint from the PO hack paint job, and a shield. I am un certain of how I am going to paint it yet, but I have a few ideas. Open to ideas if you have a cool idea.

This is the LSI 4150 I have been looking for. I will probably run my JT racing mask on this one the most, as I think it has enough sparkle and still keeps the sinister black look. Will need slight cleaning, but overall the helmet is in great shape.

This will probably be my "hey don't hit me" commuter helmet. Another great LSI 4150 lid. Just need to freshing it up and add some goggles and its ready to wear.

Another LSI 4150, this one is a small, which is just a tad snug on me. The price was right and I couldn't pass it up. It's a cool red/orange sparkle and overall in great shape.

Here are a few lined up.

Obviously not a helmet, but a co-worker gave me these for free! Durango riding boots! Not really my style, but I would have felt really bad saying no!

whip out the old black spray paint!!.. ;D

That cracked me up!!

I have been looking for a nice vintage brown leather jacket, to just change it up a bit, but now I have a good reason to buy one!

That silver lid is the badness. I love every nick and ding. I'd get some goggles, throw some bedliner on it and be done!

howd you mount it on the inside? this is awesome

Came across this jt paintball mask, with some mods it fits pretty good. (the bolt was just to hold the mask in place for the shot, picking up proper tomorrow.

WTF!
Ok, I get it, well sorta....maybe not!!!???

$3260.00 for a used helmet.
Maybe I am missing something by the listing of the serial number, maybe it's a first run of the 1979 helmets, or the last of the Magnum of that year.

Please enlighten me as to why this helmet is worth, or at least why someone is willing to pay this much for a helmet that looks very similar to every other vintage 70's 3/4 helmet? I mean sure, it looks a bit more cozy inside then some others, has 5 snaps on it, a strap etc, etc....

To each their own.....but damn thats some big money on a vintage helmet fetish!!!

$3950.00 for a used helmet(see above post). Crazy, simply crazy in my world.

I wonder if the guy selling the helmet ever thought he would get that much for it!!??

Maybe we are going to see Brad Pitt riding around with a new orange Bell lid, cuz really if you have almost 4K to drop on a used helmet, you clearly have too much money on your hands. I mean really, the thing wasn't even mint!

Anyone else think this is suspect?? Several of the bidders had little or no feedback.

Hey guys....... lookie, lookie...... I got me a few new helmets. The Simpson and Fulmer were left in my care by my friend Russell Huffman who passed away a few months ago, the Biffe came stuck on a sissy bar which was on a sandcast Honda that I bought then sold two hours later , the Porche Design I bought new in the early 90s' and had the visor cover painted to match the R90S BMW which I restored, rode for several years, then sold, and the Davida..... has been posted before but I just wanted to show it again 8) 8) 8)......

Uhhhhh..... I meant simpson pics and a BFE pic...... so here are a couple more of the Bieffe :o :o :o.....

I think that this helmet is a Fulmer from the 1970's, Russell gave me this one and the Simpson. He actually gave me two Simpsons, one is the origional small port Simpson (which is pictured) and the other was a later model large port Simpson. The day after I picked up these three helmets I took the large port Simpson to the coffee shop where my friends and I have coffee most days. Upon seeing my pal George I laid the helmet down on the counter in front of him and asked him if he knew who owned this helmet. "Why........... that is Russell's helmet" he exclaimed !!!!! "No, it is George's helmet now", I replied. George cried (again)..... what a puss.....
