Old Carb intake boots

Okay guys, I need your advice! I rebuilt the carbs on my 1980 CB750K and while looking at the carb intake boots, they are extremely stiff, brittle and cracked around the edge connecting to the engine. Do I replace them? I want to use Honda Genuine parts, so that means I'll spend somewhere around $90. Is it worth it to replace them at this point or are they good to go for a while longer? Thanks!

P.s. the air box boots are pretty mangled too, cracked and pieces falling off. I pretty much know these need replacing. Thanks!

It's one thing to recondition a stiff boot, however if they are cracking I would absolutely replace them. It's one of the leading causes of air leaks, and in this situation you will never be able to tune your bike to proper spec. It's a minimal cost for the lack of problems it can cause in the future.

i have a 1980 and just switched to dual mikuni carbs so my air box is in good shape if you

want the boots or the whole box i also put on new honda isolators due to cracks in the old ones
