Opinions on replacing 3.5mm bullet connectors with 4mm

I notice its a lot easier to find 4mm connectors, and I've come across a number of people saying that when they need to replace just one side, either male or female, they go with 4mm and do both ends, instead of keeping with the original 3.5

Does anybody see an advantage to that?

I have new left-hand switches to put on a cb360, and have a bunch of 4mm connectors lying around. It would be nice if I had some 3.5mm males for it, but I don't. Is it madness to switch out both male and female to the 4mm? My only concern, besides the extra work, is that now my left hand switches would be 4mm, and my right hand ones would be 3.5 still.

Also my local supply shop here is trying to say 3.9mm is the standard for vintage hondas... but I swear everywhere else is saying 3.5 (which as I said seems weirdly hard to find aside from maybe 2 places online).
