Outfit to Brat

Hey guys just starting up my build thread after lurking around the forum for a month or so. It's a CB360 76', coming into this I was pretty optimistic but now that I've got my hands dirty I'm starting to feel in over my head. I pretty much tore down the whole bike last night, nothing like sinking a few brews by yourself and just diving into it, no distractions. Anyway I'll definitely be asking a whole lot questions so be prepared. The most taunting thing I think I'll struggle with the most I is the wiring, the plastic coil cases have melted to almost nothing. Just a question off the bat, what should I salvage from the in regard to wiring...

I had tried to dissect my wiring as well on my GS850 Street Brat. I ended up cutting it all off and starting from scratch with the wiring. Lots of help in the forums with issues and lots of ood wiring experts on here. I found it a lot cleaner and dumped a million wires. ( slight exaggeration ) went from 73 wires from front to back down to 13.

Wow 73 down to 13! Man I wanna go down that road, yet at the same time I look at those diagrams and just see gibberish. You got any threads or online tutorials you recommend I can read? I've read a few but didn't fully comprehend all the different components.

Before after shots of the good old sidecar, she was once loved and she had a good run but now it's time to give her the boot.

The condition of the engines is pretty good but still gonna give it a good clean.

This is before I took the forks off with the leading link still attached, I've got the OG forks for her but the guy I bought it off had lost the OG front axle. If anyone got something that'll fit I'll definitely take it off your hands just name your price.

The wheels are gonna be a bitch to clean up, but I guess that's what's it's all about huh. I've been looking out for a good set of spokes for em. If anyone knows where to find a set that will fit this model of bike and have dealt with them before please let me know!

Just a few more shots to show the overall condition of the bike, I thought I did alright and I was pretty set on getting a Honda. It was either this or a cb450 but that needed a lot more work. The cb360 came with a roadworthy which was great, but you know how sketchy mechanics can be with mates. My dads a mechanic and after it sussed out the condition of the bike he was a bit wary, we'll see how she goes. Either way she runs and that's really all I was looking for.

Haha sapphire blue... Like your build, I don't know whether to keep the OG paint, I was thinking like a metallic burgundy colour. What you reckon?

I think you make her out to be exactly what you want. Never mind what anyone else thinks.
