not bad for a winter project puts my bike to shame, and it took me three summers to build!

how i bought it, May 2010 (not my garage, i would never buy a jaguar haha)

tore it down and cleaned everything, put it back together, late June 2010

blew up the engine, rebuilt it, and started changing up the look.
this is how it sits now as of May 2011

hello to everybody


this is the first time on this forum
i,am from holland
in the past i have a lots of xs650 bikes and all rebuild to what ever
but i bumpt to a tripple thats a ugly bike you can imagine,but his sound is verry nice
after a few cuts and some welding
and i want to show my bike its a Yamaha xs850se tripple 1981
and its needs a paintjob
its not ready yet, but i give it a shot

Here's my '75 CB360 transformation. Hard to believe it's the same bike.

Here is the before and after of my 76 cb550. It was in pretty good shape before I started. about 20,000 miles on the odometer. It even came with a wixom fairing and a rear rack with a back rest. Finished for now.

This week I added a new speedometer, tach and a tool bag where the air box use to be.
